Take #7 Bus to Second Street and Main. Walk 1/2 block up Main and hostel is on the left. (Check schedule for times)
10-15 minute walk. Turn down Pacific Ave towards the ocean. Cross Front Street and take black paved footpath up steep hill. At top of hill (3rd Street), turn left and walk 1/2 block to turn right on Main St. Hostel is 1/2 block down on right.

Take the Airport Flyer Free Shuttle (also called the VTA Route 10 Bus) to the Santa Clara Caltrain Station. Board going south and disembark at the San Jose Diridon/Calhill St. Station ($2.25.) Outside station, take the Amtrak Bus/Highway 17 Express Line to Main Bus Station in Downtown Santa Cruz ($4- pay driver.) Travel Time: 1.5 hours if connections made. By Greyhound: There is no direct shuttle or bus from the airport to the Greyhound Station (4 miles away). Taxi service is available. Check Greyhound for schedules.

- Take the Ocean Street Exit and follow Ocean St. until it ends. Turn right on San Lorenzo Blvd., then left on Riverside. Take an immediate right onto 3rd Street. Follow 3rd St. uphill, then turn left on Main Street. Hostel is 1/2 block down on right. Street parking available on Main Oct. 1-May 14. Starting May 15-Sept. 30 all cars must park at meters on Front St. Hill; $1.00 permits available for this street can be purchased at registration.
Catch BART at the International Terminal, located a short walk from domestic flights. Take a southbound BART train to Milbrae Caltrain Station ($1.50) (SFO BART departures must be made no later than 7 pm to complete all connections to Santa Cruz) At Milbrae Caltrain Station, go southbound to the San Jose Diridon/Calhill St. Station ($5.25). Outside station, take the Amtrak Bus/Highway 17 Express Line to Main Bus Station in Downtown Santa Cruz ($4- pay driver). Travel Time: 2.5 hours if direct connections made. Take the BART rail to Embarcadero Station ($4.70). Turn right on Mission Street (.1 mile) and arrive at 425 Mission, Greyhound Transbay Station. From here, take Greyhound to Downtown Santa Cruz Main Bus Station ($11.) Greyhound also provides two daily departures from SFO to Greyhound Transbay Station. More info: greyhound.com, 1-800-BUS-N-FLY
